La Nueva Ola de Cumbia takes us on a nostalgic ride to the emo era with their latest single, “Los Malaventurados No Lloran.”

Ready to dance the night away with family and friends? Look no further, La Nueva Ola de Cumbia is bringing their electrifying cumbia vibes to Downtown Los Angeles for a community celebration you won’t want to miss!

Fresh off performing at some of CDMX's most iconic venues, including wrestling arenas like Arena Tlanepantla, Arena Infernal Ecatepec and Arena Coacalco, as well as transportation hubs like Metro Hidalgo and Universidad, La Nueva Ola de Cumbia has been spreading its cumbia vibes throughout the vibrant metropolis of Mexico City. They are now coming to Southern California to share their unique sound.

Earlier this month, La Nueva Ola de Cumbia released their new single, “Los Malaventurados No Lloran,” which is a remake of the classic emo anthem by the band Pxndx. This fun version of “Los Malaventurados No Lloran” is just as addictive as the original song.

La Nueva Ola de Cumbia specializes in “cumbiafying” the greatest hits from the 70s, 80s, 90s and beyond. With over a decade of experience, they have entertained audiences at countless shows in stadiums, arenas and festivals. The band members' identities remain a secret, as they conceal their faces behind colorful lucha libre masks.

So don’t miss your chance to move your body and soul at La Cita Bar this Saturday, August 30. Doors open at 9:00 p.m., and for just $20, you’ll be treated to a fabulous night of nonstop cumbia.

Location: La Cita Bar, 336 S Hill St, Los Angeles, CA 90013
