The Los Angeles city government has organized an event for Angelenos impacted by the justice system to provide employment, housing, education and wellness opportunities.
The Justice Fair 2025: "Gifts That Keep Giving" will feature more than 80 employers and service providers that will offer on-site job interviews, expungement services, housing assistance, financial coaching and mental health resources.
This free community event brings together local businesses, nonprofits and government agencies working collectively to build pathways to opportunity and safer, stronger communities.
The city and Mayor Karen Bass have partnered with the Justice Care and Opportunities Department, L.A. County, City Attorney Hydee Feldstein Soto, Metro and the Economic and Workforce Development Department to organize this event.
The event will offer on-site job interviews, resume help and direct hiring. For housing and legal aid, there will be housing enrollment, ID support, Livescans, legal intakes, case review, expungements, felony reclassification and mitigation packet building. Attendees seeking information on
education and training can learn about apprenticeships, trade programs and business development. For wellness and healing, the fair offers health screenings, mindfulness sessions and family activities. There will also be food, music and local resource partners.
A WorkSource Center Workshop will also be held, where attendees will learn how to: 1) Prepare the day before an interview, 2) Research a company quickly and easily, 3) Dress professionally on a budget, 4) Answer common interview questions, 5) Explain their re-entry in a positive way, 6) Ask smart questions, and 7) Leave a strong final impression.
Register for free at justicefair.org. Angelenos seeking on-site career and employment support must register on Eventbrite. Registration does not guarantee an on-site interview. If you register for the event, bring your updated resume and attire suitable for an interview.
The event will be held on Saturday, December 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the EXPO Center, 3980 Bill Robertson Lane, Los Angeles, CA 90037.
