Stand-up comedian Ken Flores died on Tuesday, January 28 from cardiac arrest. The comedian's death was announced on his Instagram page by his family.

The message to his followers stated, "It is with great sadness that we confirm the untimely passing of our friend, brother, and son, Kenyi Flores." They asked for privacy as they were shocked and devastated by the loss.

A report from the County of Los Angeles Medical Examiner also recorded Flores' death.

Several of Flores' peers and fans took to social media to mourn the comedian's death, including the Hollywood Improv comedy venue. "We were honored to share your talent on our stages," the venue wrote in a tribute on Instagram. "You were greatness, and it was only a matter of time until the whole world saw it. You were also kind and a tremendous friend to all lucky enough to know you. We love you Ken, thank you for all the laughs."

Flores was halfway through his Butterfly Effect tour, which began in Portland, Oregon, on January 10 and was set to wrap up in San Diego, California, in April. He recently shared a video from his Portland stop on the tour.

In addition to his stand-up, Flores was known for co-creating the LatinXL Comedy Show, a platform dedicated to highlighting Latin comedy talent.

The Chicago native began his comedy career in his early teenage years by posting videos on YouTube, with several of his clips going viral on WorldStarHipHop, as he shared an interview with The Comedy Gazelle in 2023, the same year he moved to Los Angeles.
