This upcoming Saturday, December 6, the City of Baldwin Park will host their annual Holiday Parade and Winterfest.
As part of the tradition, the city, which has approximately a 74% Latino population, will hold free activities, including a live reindeer, a festive petting zoo, seasonal arts and crafts, as well as holiday-themed bounce houses for kids.
“There’s no better way to feel the warmth of the holidays than gathering with your friends and family to experience the parade and winterfest,” Alejandra Avila, Baldwin Park’s mayor, said in a statement.
She said the event is one of the most anticipated celebrations for the local community. “Each year, our staff work tirelessly and partner with many local organizations to showcase our Baldwin Park winter spirit,” she said. “This celebration helps residents of all ages experience holiday magic right here in our own community.”
The celebration open to the public will begin at 9:45 a.m. for the start of the holiday parade, which will run along Baldwin Park Boulevard between Olive Street and Ramona Boulevard.
This year's parade will feature a lineup of floats, marching bands and community groups, culminating in a special appearance by Santa Claus.

This year’s parade marshal will be Michelle Trujillo, a local meteorologist with Telemundo 52. As part of the Noticiero Telemundo 52 team, Trujillo presents the weather forecast and relevant weather news for Southern California viewers.
Trujillo, who has been recognized with multiple Emmy Awards, was crowned International Queen of the Pacific in 2011 in Mazatlán, Sinaloa, and Queen of the Bicentennial of Mexico in Los Angeles in 2010.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from California State University, Fullerton and in 2019, she received her three-year certification in meteorology from Mississippi State University. She is also a spokesperson for the American Heart Association, helping raise awareness of heart disease prevention in the Latino community.
After the parade, the celebration will continue at Morgan Park with the city’s annual winterfest and an awards ceremony. During this time, the winning marching band and the top float or group in the parade will be recognized and celebrated.
From noon to 5 p.m., participants will be able to enjoy free snow play, photo opportunities with a live reindeer and the free petting zoo. Organizers of the event hope the event will bring a “touch of winter charm to Southern California.”
Admission to the holiday parade and winterfest is free.
